Navratri – Nine Nights ; Festival of Nine Ni

ghts. Its a festival of Goddess. This festival have various culture in every state. In Maharastra , Goddess Tulaja Bhavani (Tulajapur) , Mahalaxmi (Kolhapur), Saptasrhungi ( Nashik), Renuka Mata (Mahur) these many major pilgrims have their own tradition.

In Gujrat , festival celebrates worship of Goddess Jagdamba. And in West Bengal Durga Puja is the reason to rejoice.

Though every part of India celebrates different rituals of Navratri, Whole India worship 3 Avatars of Goddess. 1) Laxmi (The Goddess of Wealth )
2) Saraswati (The Goddess of knowledge)

One of the most important tradition in this festival is Fasting for all nine days or Fasting on some selected Days.
Playing Dandiya in front of Goddess for whole night is very joyful tradition in Gujrat but now adopted by other Indian states too.
